Inspired by the impressionists, I love to paint in a way that brings to life a scene and stirs up emotion in others through the brilliance of colour and light.

I loved to draw as a kid and took to oil-painting as a teenager. After a hiatus during my parenting years, I resumed painting several years ago as a coping mechanism while dealing with loss.

I know grief and I know the importance of mementos to stay with us and remind us of those we love and what’s most important in life.

Through capturing your special moments and your loved ones, I can create meaningful pieces to display and enjoy at home.

Environmental Practice

I have spent 20 years in environmental work for government bodies, and I try to integrate sustainability into my practice:

• Sourcing used canvases from charity shops
• Careful brush cleaning to prevent solvent and paint drainage
• Filtering and reusing solvents to minimise waste
